Overview

Intuitive Writing
Place a pen and a piece of paper in front of you.
Close your eyes and listen within.
What are you feeling right now?
Take some time to ask this question until you notice a movement within yourself.
Is it anger, sadness, disgust, fear or joy?
Are there feelings of guilt or shame?
Whatever it is, it can be there.
Now take the pen in your hand and start writing.
Write down every thought that comes to mind.
Let it out and let it flow.
It doesn't have to rhyme.
It doesn't have to make sense.
It doesn't have to sound good or look nice.
It can just be the way it is.
Without rating.
It's okay if the tears come.
It's okay for anger to rise.
Keep writing until she leaves again.
It's okay for memories to arise.
Write them down and let them go.
It's okay if you don't know what to do with your findings.
Wait. Give yourself some time to let the insights and feelings sink in.
Write until you feel relaxed.
A silence that allows you to rest.
The storm has subsided.
If this process triggers fear, panic or other stressful emotions in you, contact friends and family or seek additional psychological support. Emotions and memories can be overwhelming, so in some cases it helps to seek professional help to accompany the healing process in a safe environment.
